After 9 months of waiting (and 21 hours of labor), we welcomed Abigail Joy Edmonds on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10:40 a.m. She weighed in at 7 lbs 3 oz and was 20 inches long.
Both sets of Grandparents were in town for Abigail's arrival and they couldn't wait to get their hands on her. Unfortunately Grandpa Tim had a cold so he insisted on keeping his distance from her.
Abigail's Aunt Angela came down that afternoon to get a peak at her. Angela got off easy not having to show up until 4pm. I was at the hospital shortly after 6am when both her girls were born!
We started calling Abigail "the burrito baby" because she wanted to bed swaddled tightly all the time. That hat just kills me! Wakemed in Cary has a group of ladies who knit hats for all the newborns.
